If you’re a yoga teacher wanting to welcome in more abundance this Christmas—but you’re noticing reduced classes, cancelled bookings, and students rushing off to festive parties—take a deep breath.
There are beautiful, aligned ways to continue supporting your business, your community, and your energy during this season.
✨ Here are 5 soulful tips to help you increase your income this Christmas while staying connected to your purpose and values. ✨
1. Offer gift vouchers for 1:1 sessions and class packages
Create gift vouchers for one-off private sessions or bundled blocks of 5 or 10.
You can also offer a personalised sequence of 1:1 sessions to create a unique practice plan for the receiver—a thoughtful, nourishing Christmas gift for anyone wanting to invest in their wellbeing.
And remember: your pricing reflects far more than the hour you spend with them.
It includes your training, experience, planning and preparation.
Price with confidence. Honour your worth.
2. Create Christmas + January offers
This can look like:
A discounted 1:1 package
Bring-a-friend-for-free classes in January
A themed mini-program for the new year
Think about how you can support your students during a season that is joyful and dysregulating. The festive period can pull people out of balance—your offerings help them stay centred, connected, and grounded.
3. Get creative with seasonal offerings
Winter is a time of inwardness, rest, reflection and release.
So lean into that energy by offering things like:
Candlelit yin
Yoga nidra evenings
Themed workshops
Mini day retreats
Full winter retreats
People want slowness at this time of year. Offer the sanctuary they’re craving.
4. Give yourself permission to rest + plan
You’re allowed to step back.
You’re allowed to restore.
You’re allowed to use this time to dream, plan and create.
December (and August) are often naturally lower-income months with yoga classes. In the past, I took both months off completely and used that space to birth retreats, courses, offers and ideas that carried my business forward for the rest of the year.
Rest fuels creativity. Creativity fuels soul-algined income.
5. Nourish your community
This is a beautiful time to strengthen your sangha. Think about:
A coffee-and-cake meet-up
A festive class + dinner
A community circle to close the year
When students feel connected, supported and inspired, they stay committed to their practice—and to you as their teacher.
